Explore Day 22: Montmorency Falls & Beaver Tails

In the afternoon we took a 50 minute bus ride towards Beauport to reach the Montmorency Falls. We went down many flights of stairs to a beautiful viewing point from the bottom of the falls.

I've been here before but that time the weather was overcast and my camera was not as good quality. I took so many pictures today because every shot looked perfect under the sun.

Perfect jumping shot! :)

We wanted to walk on the bridge above the falls and we didn't want to hike up the mountain so we took the gondola! Usually gondolas have a guide or overhead speaker explaining the attraction but this one did not have anything.

At the top of the gondola was Manoir Montmorency which is where the restaurant and gift shop is located. It was a really hot day so I bought a slush to cool down, unfortunately it was more syrup than slush. On the bridge I saw this tour guide in costume and asked him for a picture immediately because he was about to leave! That costume was definitely too hot for the weather.

At the top of the waterfall looking down we could see where we were standing while taking the jumping picture. There was also a rainbow which I made wishes upon.

After enjoying the beautiful falls, we took the bus to Vieux Quebec for supper. We ate at a place called La Popessa which had many types of pasta made fresh. It is like cafeteria style because you're not served but the presentation of the food was still nice. I had the Ham & Cheese Panini with salad which tasted good but not as good as Nooch.

To finish off a great day we headed to the Old Port area to get Beaver Tails! I've never tried it before and had been looking forward to trying it in Quebec since the beginning of Explore. I shared the Apple & Cinnamon one with Linda and it tasted so good! I want to try the other flavours like Skor, Oreo, Nutella, etc.
